Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Fuchsia City Collection Challenge Guide

Friday, February 19th, 2021 12:59 pm

There are four location-based Collection Challenges to complete.

Trainers, the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event has finally begun! This event will take place from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. local time on February 20. It will give trainers around the world the chance to encounter Pokemon from the Kanto region of the Pokemon universe in the wild, complete new Special Research tasks, and much more. (For more information about this event, check out our previous coverage).

While some of the event’s content is available to everyone for free, the rest is locked behind a ticket (here’s how to purchase one).

For instance, players who purchase a ticket for the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event will be challenged to complete 10 different Collection Challenges inspired by the Kanto region. Half are inspired by areas from the first Pokemon video games (like the Pewter City and Pallet Town challenges), while the other half are focused on the ways players can collect the Pokemon required to complete them (like the Raid Collection Challenge, for instance).

Ticket holders have until February 28 at 7:59 p.m. local time to complete these challenges.

Here’s how to complete the Fuchsia City Collection Challenge!

According to Serebii.net, the Fuchsia City Collection Challenge asks trainers to collect 10 different Pokemon:

  • Venonat
  • Abra
  • Ponyta
  • Grimer
  • Gastly
  • Drowzee
  • Exeggcute
  • Koffing
  • Omanyte
  • Kabuto

On the game’s support website, Pokemon Go’s developer, Niantic, said all of these Pokemon will appear in the wild, and will be attracted to Incense during the Fuchsia City hourly blocks on February 20.

These Fuchsia City hours run from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. local time, and from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. local time.

Finally, during the last two hours of the event (from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. local time), Pokemon from all of the event’s hourly blocks will appear in the wild, so you’ll have another chance to collect any Pokemon you may still need.

According to Serebii.net, when players complete this Fuchsia City Collection Challenge, they’ll receive 151 Stardust, 20 Great Balls, and an encounter with Venonat.

Remember, even if you don’t finish this Collection Challenge during the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event itself, you will still have the chance to complete it during the 2021 Kanto Celebration Event, which will run from February 21 at 10 a.m. local time until February 27 at 8 p.m. local time. You can learn more about this Kanto Celebration event right here.
