Players can collect both Pokemon regardless of the ticket version they choose.

As spotted by PokeMiners, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, revealed an exciting bonus that will be available to players who purchase a ticket for the upcoming Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event that will be held on February 26, 2022.

Players who purchase a ticket for the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event will be able to complete a set of Special Research tasks in order to earn a new Masterwork Research line. Pokemon Go’s Masterwork Research tasks are designed to take longer to complete than regular Special Research tasks.

As players complete this new Masterwork Research, they’ll earn encounters with Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia. To be especially clear, even though the Pokemon Go Tour: Johto event will require ticket holders to choose between the “Gold” and “Silver” versions of the event experience, all ticket holders will be able to collect both Apex Shadow Ho-Oh and Apex Shadow Lugia, regardless of the version of the event they choose.

Apex Shadow Ho-Oh will know the move Sacred Fire+, while Apex Shadow Lugia will know Aeroblast+. If players purify these Pokemon, Sacred Fire+ will turn into Sacred Fire++ and Aeroblast+ will turn into Aeroblast++. Here are the stats for these moves:

Sacred Fire+

  • Trainer Battles – 130 power
  • Gyms and Raids – 135 power

Sacred Fire++

  • Trainer Battles – 130 power
  • Gyms and Raids – 155 power

Aeroblast+

  • Trainer Battles – 170 power
  • Gyms and Raids – 200 power

Aeroblast++

  • Trainer Battles – 170 power
  • Gyms and Raids – 225 power
