Pokemon Go Team Building: Great League Timed Research Tasks Guide

The 2022 Pokemon World Championships will take place in London, England from August 18-21, 2022. To celebrate, Pokemon Go players can unlock a series of Timed Research tasks that are inspired by the event.

This Timed Research will not be given to all players by default. Instead, codes for receiving the Timed Research will be shared during the Pokemon Go World Championships live streams. After a code is shared, players can redeem it on Niantic’s code redemption website to receive the Timed Research in Pokemon Go. (Niantic is the developer of Pokemon Go.) These Timed Research tasks will allow players to choose from three team options that will determine the three Pokemon they’ll be able to encounter as they complete the tasks. Here are the team options:

• Option 1 – Ariados, Pelipper, and Galarian Stunfisk
• Option 2 – Skarmory, Swampert, and Drapion
• Option 3 – Talonflame, Venusaur, and Jellicent

According to Leek Duck, here’s what the Team Building: Great League Timed Research tasks ask players to do in Pokemon Go, and the rewards players will receive for completing them.

Team Building: Great League Part 1

• Catch 1 Pokemon – 500 Stardust
• Catch 2 Pokemon – 500 Stardust
• Catch 3 Pokemon – 500 Stardust

Final Rewards: Three Star Pieces

At this point, players will need to make a choice between the three teams. The options are Galarian Stunfisk (Option 1 above), Drapion (Option 2 above), and Jellicent (Option 3 above).

Team Building: Great League Part 2

• Use a Charged TM – An encounter with Ariados
• Power Up Pokemon 10 Times – An encounter with Pelipper
• Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts – An encounter with Galarian Stunfisk

Final Rewards: 10 Spinarak Candy, 10 Wingull Candy, and 10 Stunfisk Candy

Team Building: Great League Part 3

• Battle Another Trainer in the Great League – 500 Stardust
• Win a Trainer Battle in the Great League – 1,000 Stardust
• Win 5 Trainer Battles in the Great League – 5,000 Stardust

Final Rewards: 1 Premium Battle Pass

If You Choose Drapion

Team Building: Great League Part 2

• Use a Charged TM – An encounter with Skarmory
• Power Up Pokemon 10 Times – An encounter with Swampert
• Defeat 3 Team Go Rocket Grunts – An encounter with Drapion

Final Rewards: 10 Skarmory Candy, 10 Mudkip Candy, and 10 Skorupi Candy

Team Building: Great League Part 3

• Battle Another Trainer in the Great League – 500 Stardust
• Win a Trainer Battle in the Great League – 1,000 Stardust
• Win 5 Trainer Battles in the Great League – 5,000 Stardust

Final Rewards: 1 Premium Raid Pass
