Here are some of the changes coming in the next Season.
Trainers, the next Season is about to begin in Pokemon Go!
The Season of Discovery will run from June 1 at 10 a.m. local time until September 1 at 10 a.m. local time. This Season will feature a variety of Pokemon appearing in Tier-5 Raids (beginning with Regirock, Regice, and Registeel), as well as different kinds of pocket monsters appearing in the wild around the world.
During the Season of Discovery, Pokemon like Alolan Diglett, Staryu, Barboach, and Petilil will appear more frequently than normal in the wild in the northern hemisphere. Treecko, Torchic, Mudkip, and the Summer Form of Deerling will also appear in the wild in the northern hemisphere during this season. Plus, there will be the chance to encounter Sablye, Scyther, and Combee in the wild in the northern hemisphere.
Players in the southern hemisphere will be able to encounter Pokemon like Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Vulpix, and Shellder more frequently than normal in the wild during the Season of Discovery. Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, and the Winter Form of Deerling will also appear in the wild in the southern hemisphere during this Season. Finally, players in the southern hemisphere will have the chance to encounter Lickitung, Chimecho, and Cubchoo in the wild during this Season.
During the Season of Discovery, certain Pokemon will appear more frequently than normal in the wild in specific areas, like cities and forests. Here are some examples.
Next, Eggs will be updated for the Seasons of Discovery, giving players a chance to hatch a different assortment of pocket monsters from the Eggs they collect during the Season. Here are some of the Pokemon that will be available to hatch.
Finally, different Field Research tasks will be available to collect during the Season of Discovery, and certain Field Research tasks will change each month during the Season. Players will also receive a free Remote Raid Pass and two times the normal number of experience points each time they achieve a Research Breakthrough during the Season.
