Pokemon Go Psychic Spectacular Timed Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, the 2021 Psychic Spectacular event has kicked off in Pokemon Go!

From September 8 at 10 a.m. local time until September 13 at 8 p.m. local time, Psychic-type Pokemon will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Plus, Inkay and Malamar will make their debut in Pokemon Go once this event begins! (To see everything going on during the 2021 Psychic Spectacular event, check out our previous coverage.)

As part of this Psychic Spectacular event, players can complete a series of Timed Research tasks to earn Pokemon encounters and other rewards.

According to Leek Duck, here’s what these Timed Research tasks ask players to do and the rewards they’ll receive for completing them.

Psychic Spectacular Part 1

• Catch 10 Psychic-Type Pokemon – 500 experience points
• Transfer 10 Pokemon – 10 Poke Balls
• Spin a PokeStop or Gym – 500 Stardust

Final Rewards: An encounter with Abra, 10 Razz Berries, and 500 experience points

Psychic Spectacular Part 2

• Power Up Pokemon 5 Times – 10 Ultra Balls
• Catch 20 Pokemon – 5 Pinap Berries
• Make 5 Great Throws – 1 Fast TM

Final Rewards: An encounter with Ralts, 10 Great Balls, and 500 Stardust

Psychic Spectacular Part 3

• Hatch an Egg – An encounter with Bronzor
• Evolve 2 Psychic-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Solosis
• Earn a Candy Walking With Your Buddy – 1,000 Stardust

Final Rewards: An encounter with Girafarig, 5 Revives, and 500 experience points

Psychic Spectacular Part 4

• Send 5 Gifts to Friends – 1 Charged TM
• Use 15 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – An encounter with Xatu
• Battle in the Go Battle League 2 Times – An encounter with Meditite

Final Rewards: An encounter with Starmie, 1 Incense, and 500 experience points

Psychic Spectacular Part 5

• Battle in a Raid – 5 Hyper Potions
• Make 5 Nice Curveball Throws – An encounter with Baltoy
• Use an Incense – 1 Lure Module

Final Rewards: An encounter with Inkay, 1,000 experience points, and 1,000 Stardust
