Pokemon Go New Year’s Timed Research Tasks Guide

Trainers, the 2022 New Year’s event is going on now in Pokemon Go. This event will be available until January 4 at 8 p.m. local time.

During the 2022 New Year’s event, players can complete a series of Timed Research tasks to earn Pokemon encounters, Stardust, and other in-game rewards.

According to Leek Duck, here’s what the 2022 New Year’s Timed Research tasks ask players to do, and the rewards players will receive for completing them.

New Year’s Part 1

• Catch 10 Pokemon – 10 Poke Balls
• Walk 1 km – 250 Stardust
• Make 5 Curveball Throws – 5 Razz Berries

Final Rewards: 2,022 experience points, 500 Stardust, and an encounter with New Year’s Hat Hoothoot

New Year’s Part 2

• Catch 7 Different Species of Pokemon – 5 Great Balls
• Hatch an Egg – 1,000 Stardust
• Evolve 3 Pokemon – 5 Nanab Berries

Final Rewards: 2,022 experience points, 500 Stardust, and an encounter with New Year’s Hat Pikachu

New Year’s Part 3

• Power Up Pokemon 5 Times – 5 Pinap Berries
• Use 5 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – 500 experience points
• Earn 5 Hearts With Your Buddy – An encounter with Party Hat Wurmple

Final Rewards: 2,022 experience points, one Poffin, and 500 Stardust

New Year’s Part 4

• Make 5 Great Throws – 5 Ultra Balls
• Earn a Candy Walking With Your Buddy – An encounter with Party Hat Wobbuffet
• Send 5 Gifts to Friends – 1 King’s Rock

Final Rewards: 2,022 experience points, 500 Stardust, and an encounter with 2020 Glasses Slowpoke
