Players can use a map to see if an event is happening near them.
The Pokemon Go Community Day event for May 2022 will take place on Saturday, May 21, 2022. During this event, Alola Geodude will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. (You can learn more about this event in our previous coverage.)
As part of May’s Community Day festivities, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, will host real-world Community Day meetups in many cities around the world. These meetups will take place from 11 a.m. local time to 2 p.m local time on May 21.
Players can view the locations of these Community Day meetups on a map on Pokemon Go’s website. Some of these real-world events (but not all) will allow attendees to receive more items each time they spin the Photo Disc at a PokeStop during the event hours.
These Community Day meetups are free to attend, and players aren’t required to sign up beforehand.
Keep in mind, players aren’t required to attend one of these meetups to participate in May’s Community Day event. Players can participate from anywhere in the world.
