Pokemon Go March 5 Mystery Bonus Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Thursday, March 5th, 2020 7:37 am

The event will last for one hour only!

Earlier this year, we learned that a Mystery Bonus Hour event would be held in Pokemon Go each Thursday in March. And now, the first event is almost here!

The first Mystery Bonus Hour event of the month will take place on March 5 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

As reported by Eurogamer, this week’s Mystery Bonus Hour will allow you to earn two times the normal amount of experience points when capturing Pokemon.

This is an awesome bonus for players who are still trying to reach Level 40 in Pokemon Go (the game’s current max level), since later levels take lots of experience points to complete.

To make the most of this event, you can activate a Lucky Egg (or two) during the Mystery Bonus Hour to double the amount of experience points you’ll earn with each catch.

As usual, we recommend hanging out in an area with lots of PokeStops during this one-hour event, so you can quickly catch the Pokemon that spawn nearby. In addition, you can activate a Lure Module on one or more PokeStops to boost the number of Pokemon you’ll see.

These weekly Mystery Bonus Hours aren’t the only events taking place in Pokemon Go in March. For instance, four Raid Weekend events will take place this month, and a Team Go Rocket Takeover event kicks off on March 6. For more information about this month’s events, check out our previous coverage.
