Pokemon Go January 12 Raid Hour: Everything You Need to Know

Wednesday, January 12th, 2022 9:02 am

Hello, Heatran!

Trainers, Pokemon Go’s next Raid Hour event will take place on January 12, 2022 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. local time.

During this event, more Tier-5 Raids will appear at Gyms than normal. For the January 12 Raid Hour event, these Raids will feature Heatran, a Fire- and Steel-type Legendary Pokemon from the fourth generation of the Pokemon universe.

Shiny Heatran is available in Pokemon Go, and you will have the chance to find it during this event (but finding it won’t be guaranteed).

To make the most of this event, you may want to activate a Lucky Egg to double the number of experience points you earn for completing in-game actions for 30 minutes. This will allow you to earn more experience points as you participate in Raids during this event. You can also toss Pinap Berries or Silver Pinap Berries at Heatran to earn double the normal number of Pokemon Candy when you catch it.

Following this week’s Raid Hour event, there are still two more of these events scheduled to take place in January 2022. Shock Drive Genesect will be featured during the Raid Hour event on January 19, while Regice will be the featured Pokemon on January 26.

For information on Heatran counters, check out this guide on Pokemon Go Hub.
