Pokemon Go: How to Get a Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Ticket

Here's how to prepare for a major event coming in February.

Trainers, on Tuesday, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, announced a major new event coming to the mobile game in February 2021. The Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event is a partially ticketed experience that will challenge ticket holders to collect the first 150 Pokemon from the Kanto region of the Pokemon universe (everything but Mew) in order to earn rewards. While the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto event won’t take place until February 20, 2021, you can already buy a ticket for the event right now. A single ticket costs $11.99.

Trainers who purchase a ticket before January 13 at 11:59 p.m. PT will receive free tickets for the January and February Community Day Special Research storylines next year. If you don’t purchase a ticket before January 13, you can still purchase a ticket before February 3 at 11:59 p.m. PT to receive a ticket for February’s Community Day Special Research.

Open Pokemon Go and tap the Poke Ball at the bottom of the screen.

Scroll down to the “Global Events” section and tap the Pokemon Go Tour: Kanto Ticket.

Tap the “Buy” button to complete the purchase on your device. Remember, these tickets must be purchased with a real money transaction. They can’t be purchased with Poke Coins.
