Pokemon Go: How to Catch Alomomola for the Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge

Monday, February 15th, 2021 7:49 am

You won't find it in the wild.

The 2021 Valentine’s Day event in Pokemon Go features a large Collection Challenge for players to complete, which asks trainers to find 12 different Pokemon before the event ends (check out our guide to see the complete list).

One of the Pokemon featured in this Collection Challenge is Alomomola, a Water-type Pokemon from the fifth generation of the Pokemon universe.

Alomomola is one of the trickier Pokemon to track down for this collection, since it can’t be found in the wild.

So, how do you catch it?

According to The Silph Road subreddit, Alomomola can be found in Tier-3 Raids and as a reward encounter for completing two different Field Research tasks:

  • Win 2 Raids
  • Catch 20 Luvdisc

If you decide to battle Alomomola in a Raid, keep in mind that you may need another player to help you out, depending on your in-game level and the strength of your Pokemon team.

Finally, even if you are strong enough to defeat Alomomola on your own, we still recommend inviting your in-game friends to the Raid so they can have a chance to catch Alomomola for their own Collection Challenge.

Now that you know how to track down Alomomola for the Valentine’s Day Collection Challenge, check out our other guides that can help you find Espeon and Umbreon.
