Put on your walking shoes, trainers. New Pokemon are hatching from Eggs!
Trainers, an exciting new update has launched in Pokemon Go, giving you the chance to add some fossil Pokemon to your collection.
Starting now, fossil Pokemon are hatching from 7 km Eggs, and they’re currently the only Pokemon available to hatch from these Eggs.
With this egg-themed update, you have the chance to hatch Omanyte, Kabuto, Aerodactyl, Lileep, Anorith, Cranidos, Shieldon, Tirtouga, and Archen from 7 km Eggs. As a reminder, 7 km Eggs are the ones you may receive when opening Gifts from friends, so long as you have the room in your Egg inventory to hold them.
There are two other changes that go along with this fossil update.
First, in a news post, Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, said that these fossil Pokemon “will no longer be hatching from 2, 5, and 10 km Eggs.”
Second, Niantic said Riolu now has the chance to hatch from 10 km Eggs.
Unfortunately, we don’t know how long this update will last, but the wording in Niantic’s news post seems to indicate it won’t last forever. If you’re hoping to add some fossil Pokemon to your collection, make sure to collect as many 7 km Eggs as you can while these changes are in effect.
