Keep an eye out for Shiny Trapinch this Saturday.
Trainers, guess what’s coming up in just a few days… That’s right, October’s Pokemon Go Community Day is right around the corner! On October 12 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time, Trapinch will appear more frequently than normal in the wild.
Trapinch is a Ground-type Pokemon from the third Generation of the Pokemon universe, see in Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire, which came out on Game Boy Advance in North America in 2003.
This pocket monster has two evolutions. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Trapinch into Vibrava using 25 Trapinch Candy, and then evolve Vibrava into Flygon using 100 Trapinch Candy. When you evolve Vibrava during this Community Day event, it will learn the exclusive battle move Earth Power.
During October’s Community Day event, Lure Modules will remain active for three hours when placed on a PokeStop during the event window, rather than the standard 30 minutes. You’ll also earn three times the normal amount of experience points (XP) when you capture Pokemon during this event. Combine this bonus with a Lucky Egg (which doubles the XP you earn for 30 minutes) and you can receive a ton of experience points really quickly this weekend.
Also keep in mind that Shiny Trapinch will likely make an appearance during this event.
We can’t wait!
