Pokemon Go Community Day: Watch Out for Shiny Gible in June 2021

Mark your calendars!

Trainers, we have some exciting news! Gible will be the featured pocket monster for the Pokemon Go Community Day event taking place in June 2021!

Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, shared this announcement on Twitter, but it provided very few details about the event itself.

For now, all we know is that June’s Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on June 6, and that it will feature Gible. Niantic said additional information about the event will be announced in the future.

Gible is a Dragon- and Ground-type Pokemon from the fourth generation of the Pokemon universe. In Pokemon Go, you can evolve Gible into Gabite using 25 Gible Candy, and then evolve Gabite into Garchomp using 100 Gible Candy.

Shiny Gible is already available in Pokemon Go, and it will likely be easier to find during Community Day!

While Niantic didn’t reveal much information about this event, we can make some educated guesses about how the festivities will work. For instance, Community Day events typically run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. In addition, Incense may last for three hours, instead of one, if it’s activated during the Community Day time period.

We also expect an in-game bonus to be active during Community Day. As an example, during May 2021’s Community Day event, players will be able to hatch Eggs after walking 1/4 of the normal required distance, so long as they place the Eggs into Incubators during the event period.

Finally, Garchomp will likely be able to learn an exclusive battle move if players evolve Gabite into Garchomp during the Community Day festivities.

Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you all of the final details about June’s Pokemon Go Community Day as soon as they’re revealed.
