Pokemon Go Bug Out Catch Challenge Timed Research Tasks Guide

The 2022 Bug Out event is going on now in Pokemon Go! This event will run from August 10, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until August 16, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time. You can learn more about this event in our previous coverage.

As part of the 2022 Bug Out event, players can complete Timed Research tasks to earn in-game rewards.

According to Leek Duck, here’s what the Bug Out Catch Challenge Timed Research tasks ask players to do, and the rewards players will receive for completing them.

Bug Out Catch Challenge Part 1

• Catch 25 Bug-Type Pokemon – 25 Poke Balls
• Walk 2 km – An encounter with Beedrill
• Make 15 Nice Throws – 20 Great Balls
• Make 10 Great Throws – 10 Ultra Balls
• Make 5 Curveball Throws – 10 Pinap Berries
• Use 10 Berries to Help Catch Pokemon – An encounter with Combee

Final Rewards: 2,500 experience points, one Lure Module, and an encounter with Shedinja

Bug Out Catch Challenge Part 2

• Catch 25 Bug-Type Pokemon – 25 Poke Balls
• Hatch an Egg – 3 Golden Razz Berries
• Evolve 2 Bug-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Grubbin
• Make 10 Great Throws – 20 Great Balls
• Catch 10 Different Species of Bug-Type Pokemon – 50 Beedrill Mega Energy
• Take Snapshots of 5 Different Wild Bug-Type Pokemon – An encounter with Venipede

Final Rewards: 2,500 experience points, 1,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Pinsir

Bug Out Catch Challenge Part 3

• Automatically Completed Task – An encounter with Caterpie
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – An encounter with Wurmple
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points
• Automatically Completed Task – An encounter with Weedle
• Automatically Completed Task – 1,000 experience points

Final Rewards: An encounter with Scyther and 50 Scizor Mega Energy
