Here's what you need to know about this rescheduled event.

Earlier this year, we learned that March’s Pokemon Go Community Day event had been postponed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. Now, Niantic, the creator of Pokemon Go, has rescheduled the event and changed the way it will work so we can enjoy it more easily from home.

The rescheduled Pokemon Go Community Day event will take place on April 25 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time. That’s three hours longer than a traditional Community Day event, which typically lasts for three hours.

During this time, Abra will appear more frequently in the wild, and you’ll have the chance to encounter Shiny Abra.

Abra has two evolutions. You can evolve Abra into Kadabra using 25 Abra Candy, and then evolve Kadabra into Alakazam using 100 Abra Candy. Or, you can trade Kadabra to another player, who will then be able to evolve it into Alakazam using zero candy.

When you evolve Kadabra into Alakazam during this event, or during the two hours immediately after it, Alakazam will learn the exclusive battle move Counter.

During this event, a single Incense will last for three hours. Typically, Lure Modules last for three hours during these events, but that won’t be the case this time around. You’ll also earn three times the normal amount of Stardust for each Pokemon you capture during this six-hour window.

In a news post, Niantic said that if you have a Buddy Pokemon at the level of “Great Buddy” or higher, it will bring you items like Poke Balls during this event. Plus, the developer said you should take a Snapshot during this event “for a surprise!”

Elsewhere, you’ll have the option to purchase the “April Community Day” bundle from the in-game item shop, which will contain an Elite Charged TM, 30 Ultra Balls, three Super Incubators, and three Incense. The bundle will cost 1,280 PokeCoins. This bundle will be limited to one per person.

Finally, players will have the option to spend $1 to unlock a Community Day Special Research storyline called Investigating Illusions. If players complete all of the tasks in this series, they’ll receive 13,000 Stardust, a Poffin, a Rocket Radar, and more.
