Pokemon Go 2022 Spring Into Spring Event: Tapu Bulu, Flower Crown Pokemon, and More

There's a lot going on during this event!

The 2022 Spring into Spring event is kicking off soon in Pokemon Go!

This event will run from April 12, 2022 at 10 a.m. local time until April 18, 2022 at 8 p.m. local time.

Once this event begins, Togetic wearing a flower crown, Togekiss wearing a flower crown, and Lopunny wearing a flower crown will become available to collect in Pokemon Go. Tapu Bulu will also be added to the game, and it will appear in Tier-5 Raids during this event.

Players will be able to evolve Togetic that’s wearing a flower crown to receive Togekiss that’s wearing a flower crown. They’ll be able to evolve Buneary that’s wearing a flower crown to receive Lopunny that’s wearing a flower crown.

During this event, Pikachu wearing a flower crown, Nidoran♀, Nidoran♂, Jigglypuff, Eevee wearing a flower crown, Whismur, Buneary wearing a flower crown, and Bunnelby will have the chance to appear in the wild. Chansey wearing a flower crown and Togetic wearing a flower crown will also have the chance to appear in the wild, though the Pokemon Go website indicated they’ll be rarer than the other pocket monsters featured during this event.

A number of in-game bonuses will be active during this event:

  • Players will receive two times the normal number of Pokemon Candy when hatching Pokemon
  • Eggs will hatch after walking half of the normal required distance if they’re placed into Incubators during this event
  • Lucky Eggs will remain active for twice as long as normal
  • Team Go Rocket Grunts will have more Shadow Exeggcute and Shadow Whismar in their battle parties

Next, Pichu wearing a flower crown, Igglybuff, Azurill, Munchlax, Happiny wearing a flower crown, Togepi wearing a flower crown, Exeggcute, Chingling, and Riolu will have the chance to hatch from 2 km Eggs that are collected during this event.

Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event to earn encounters with Eevee wearing a flower crown, Pikachu wearing a flower crown, and Buneary wearing a flower crown. Players may also receive encounters with Chansey wearing a flower crown when they complete these event-themed Field Research tasks, though the Pokemon Go website indicated Chansey will be rarer than the other Pokemon.

Elsewhere, once this event begins, players will be able to collect the Ula’ula Island Special Research tasks in Pokemon Go, which are part of the game’s Season of Alola. Players will also be able to complete a Collection Challenge during this event to earn 2,000 experience points, 2,000 Stardust, and an encounter with Togetic wearing a flower crown.

Finally, players will be able to collect new stickers by spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops, opening Gifts, and purchasing them in the in-game store.

During the Spring into Spring event, two other limited-time events will take place in Pokemon Go.

First, a one-day Limited Research day event called “An Egg-citing Spring Surprise” will take place on April 16, 2022 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

During this event, players will be able to collect Limited Research tasks by the Spinning the Photo Disc at PokeStops. Players will be able to complete these tasks to earn encounters with Exeggcute.

Each time players evolve Exeggcute during this event, they’ll receive an Alolan Exeggcutor that knows the move Draco Meteor.

Bulbasaur, Oddish, Paras, Bellsprout, Tangela, Chikorita, Sunkern, Treecko, and Seedot will have the chance to appear in the wild during this three-hour event on April 16. Players will also receive two times the normal number of experience points when catching Pokemon during this event.

The other limited-time event is called Go Battle Day: Beginner’s Paradise. This event will take place on April 17 from 12 a.m. local time to 11:59 p.m. local time. During this event, the Great League and Little Cup will be available in Go Battle League.
