Everything you need to know.

In late 2020, Pokemon Go hosted a Secrets of the Jungle event to celebrate the release of Pokemon the Movie: Secrets of the Jungle in Japan.

Now, another Secrets of the Jungle event is coming to Pokemon Go, which will celebrate the release of the film on Netflix on October 8.

Pokemon Go’s 2021 Secrets of the Jungle event will run from October 1 at 10 a.m. local time until October 10 at 8 p.m. local time.

During this event, Pokemon like Hoothoot, Combee, Drilbur, Cottonee, and Dwebble will appear more frequently than normal in the wild. Plus, players will have the chance to encounter Larvitar.

Explorer Pikachu will also be available to encounter in the wild during this event, and there will be the chance for this Pokemon to be Shiny.

Next, a variety of Pokemon will be available to challenge in Raids during this event. Specifically, Explorer Pikachu, Larvitar, Roggenrola, Foongus, and Rufflet will appear in Tier-1 Raids (Rufflet will have the chance to be Shiny), while Lickitung, Chansy, Pinsir, Ludicolo, and Flygon will appear in Tier-3 Raids.

Once this event begins, Team Rocket’s Jesse and James will return to Pokemon Go and will be available to challenge in their Meowth Balloon. They may also appear when taking a Snapshot of a Pokemon. Jesse and James will appear in the Meowth Balloon until October 15 at 10 a.m. local time.

Elsewhere, players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks during this event, and once the event begins, free avatar items (the Adventure Hat and Wailmer Water Bottle) will be released in the shop.

Finally, during this event, players can receive a new line of Special Research tasks. If they complete these tasks, they’ll encounter the Mythical Pokemon Zarude. Players will only be able to receive this series of Special Research tasks while the 2021 Secrets of the Jungle event is taking place. However, once they have the Special Research tasks, they’ll be able to complete them at any time, even after this event ends.
