Real-world events will be held in the U.S.
In April 2022, Pikmin Bloom was updated with a Weekly Challenge feature that allows players to work with others to complete in-game challenges.
When this feature debuted, only step-based challenges were available. These challenges allow up to five players to work together with the goal of walking a certain number of steps (cumulatively) in seven days. Players can choose from two step-based goals when beginning one of these challenges: 20,000 steps or 100,000 steps.
Now, the game’s latest update added a new kind of Weekly Challenge to Pikmin Bloom.
This new Weekly Challenge will challenge players to work together to plant a required number of flowers in seven days. Players can choose from two flower planting goals when beginning one of these challenges: 3,000 flowers and 15,000 flowers. Up to five players can participate in each flower planting challenge.
Players can participate in both a step-based challenge and a flower planting challenge at the same time. In addition, players can now invite other players to join their challenges with them.
On the Pikmin Bloom website, Niantic, the developer of Pikmin Bloom, said additional types of Weekly Challenges will be added to the game in the future.
Niantic also announced that real-world events will begin to take place in the U.S. in the future. Keep checking back with SuperParent, as we’ll bring you more details about these real-world Pikmin Bloom events as they’re revealed.
Pikmin Bloom is available to download for free on iOS and Android devices. The game offers optional in-game purchases. You can learn more about Pikmin Bloom in our previous coverage.
