Players will be able to create and share their own tracks.
In the recent Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase presentation, Xbox revealed a Hot Wheels-themed expansion is coming to Forza Horizon 5, a fast-paced racing game on Xbox consoles and PC.
On the Xbox Wire website, Xbox said this expansion will allow players to “[c]omplete missions to unlock special Hot Wheels Heats events and celebrate the history of Hot Wheels in a new five-part Horizon Story.” Players will be able to complete the expansion on their own and/or with friends through cooperative gameplay.
The Hot Wheels expansion will also allow players to create and share their own tracks using 80 different pieces.
Finally, the expansion will add 10 new vehicles to the game, including the 2021 Hennessey Venom F5 and the 2000 Hot Wheels Deora II.
The Forza Horizon 5: Hot Wheels expansion will be released on Xbox consoles and PC on July 19, 2022. It will be available as part of the Forza Horizon 5 Expansion Bundle (priced at $34.99) and as part of the Forza Horizon 5 Premium Add-Ons Bundle (priced at $49.99). You can visit Xbox’s website to see everything that’s included in these two bundles.
Players will need to own the base game of Forza Horizon 5 to access the Hot Wheels expansion. Forza Horizon 5 is currently available on Xbox consoles and PC for $59.99. It’s also available to play on Xbox Game Pass.
Forza Horizon 5 is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
