Chosen nominees will receive a trip to Walt Disney World Resort.
Disney has kicked off a Disney Magic Makers contest, which encourages anyone over the age of 18 to nominate someone who has made a positive impact in the lives of others for a chance for the nominee to receive a free trip to Walt Disney World Resort and a one-year subscription to Disney+, Disney’s premium video streaming service.
Nominees must be at least 13 years old, which means adults can nominate teens or other adults. For instance, a teacher may want to nominate a student for the work the student has done in improving their classroom or local community.
Nominations can be submitted on the Disney Magic Makers website between now and October 1 at 11:59 p.m. ET. There’s a limit of five entries per person. Fifty nominees will be selected to receive a free trip to Walt Disney World Resort to experience “The World’s Most Magical Celebration” in honor of the 50th anniversary of the resort, as well as a one-year subscription to Disney+.
In addition, Disney is encouraging everyone to share inspiring stories on social media using the hashtag #DisneyMagicMakers. On the Disney Magic Makers website, Disney said it will keep an eye on this hashtag across Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, and will provide “surprises for those who have gone above and beyond to create magic” in the world.
Finally, Disney announced it will donate $400,000 split across four non-profits that it says “demonstrated resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic.” These non-profits are Make-A-Wish, Starlight Children’s Foundation, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and The Nature Conservancy.
