With 2020 being a leap year, Build-A-Bear Workshop is celebrating kids and adults who were born on February 29.
Anyone who was born on February 29 can visit a Build-A-Bear Workshop on that day to purchase a Birthday Treat Bear for $2.29. These customers will need to show proof of their age, so keep that in mind if this sale applies to you or someone you know.
The Birthday Treat Bear is normally a “pay-your-age” animal, which customers can buy during their birthday month for the dollar amount equal to their age, up to a maximum of $14 (the bear’s regular price). For instance, parents can buy the bear for their 5-year-old by paying just $5 during the child’s birthday month. But for leap year babies, the bear will be $2.29 on February 29, regardless of their age.
Plus, on February 28 and February 29, everyone (even non-leap year babies) can visit Build-A-Bear Workshop to take advantage of a limited time sale that will see every animal marked down by 29%.
This sale has no exclusions, so if you’ve been waiting for a good price on some of the store’s more expensive products, like Pokemon plushies, this will be a great time to check them out.
