Animal Crossing New Horizons Will Include the Museum, Able Sisters, and More

Visit animals at the campground, or take a shopping trip to Nook's Cranny.

When Animal Crossing: New Horizons launches later this year, it will take players to a deserted island and allow them to start a new life with nothing more than a tent and a few basic supplies. However, as we were shown in a recent video presentation (embedded below), the island won’t really stay deserted for long.

As you advance through the game, you’ll gain access to extra facilities, including the Museum, where you can view the game’s bugs, fish, and fossils, and the Able Sisters shop, where you can pick up a variety of clothing and accessory items for your character to wear.

You can also visit Nook’s Cranny, a store run by Timmy and Tommy, where you can purchase items that you won’t be able to craft on your own.

In addition, a campsite will allow you to interact with visiting animal friends. For instance, you can scan an Animal Crossing amiibo into the game to have that animal friend show up at the campsite for a visit. You may even be able to invite these visitors to move to your island.

Finally, as you progress, the game’s Resident Services tent (where you can complete tasks related to your home on the island) will eventually be upgraded into a full building, and it will offer extra services. For instance, you’ll be allowed to move your own home or the facilities to different spots around the island to suit your tastes.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is expected to launch on Nintendo Switch on March 20. The game is rated E for Everyone by the ESRB.
