Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Visit Random Islands While Dreaming

Friday, November 20th, 2020 10:19 am

You no longer need a Dream Address to visit another player's island while your character is asleep.

The Winter Update added lots of fun new features to Animal Crossing: New Horizons, including new hairstyles and Reactions. The update also introduced the ability for players to visit random islands while dreaming.

While you can still visit a particular island if you know the island’s Dream Address, you can now also visit islands at random while dreaming if you just want to see where you’ll end up. Here’s how this works!

Once you lay down in your bed and go to sleep, select “I want to dream.”

After your game connects to the internet, choose “Surprise Me” to have Luna pick a random island for you to visit in a dream.

When you’re ready to visit the random island, select “I’m ready.”

From there, your character will fall asleep and you’ll be taken to the random island that Luna selected!

And that’s all there is to it!

You can easily spend hours visiting random islands in dreams. That being the case, you may want to check out the ChargePlay Clutch from HyperX. It can extend your device’s battery life so you can play New Horizons (and other Switch games) for a longer period of time before having to charge your Switch. Head over to HyperX’s website to learn more about the ChargePlay Clutch and the company’s other Switch accessories.
