Celebrate Mother's Day by thanking the moms in your life!

In 2020, Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, May 10. To celebrate, a new item has been added to the Nook Shopping catalog in Animal Crossing: New Horizons that allows you to tell the moms in your life how much they mean to you.

Here’s how to buy (or send) the Thank-You Mom Mug in Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

Head into the Resident Services building and interact with the Nook Stop terminal.

Currently, the Thank-You Mom Mug is the only item on this tab. It costs 600 Bells to purchase. Press A to select it.

If you want to order the item for yourself (or to send later), select “Place Order.” If you want to send the item to an in-game friend instantly, choose “Send as Gift.”

If you order the item for yourself, it will be delivered to your in-game mailbox the next day. From there, you can keep the item for your own collection, give it to one of your villagers, or even attach it to an in-game letter that you may send to someone at a later date (like on Mother’s Day itself).

The Thank-You Mom Mug will only be available to purchase until May 31.

Finally, while we’re on the topic of Mother’s Day, well make an educated guess that New Horizons players will also receive a letter from their in-game mom on May 10. In previous games in the series, this letter contained a present, such as a Pink Carnation. Keep an eye on your in-game mailbox on May 10 in case we also receive a present in New Horizons this year!
