Animal Crossing New Horizons: How to Get the Hinaningyo

Friday, February 26th, 2021 9:48 am

It's only available every other day.

In honor of Hinamatsuri (which is celebrated in Japan on March 3), Animal Crossing: New Horizons has two new items for players to purchase from the game’s Nook Shopping catalog: the Blossom Lantern and the Hinaningyo.

These items are pretty unique, since they’re not available to purchase at the same time. That is, they’re only sold on alternating days. As an example, the Blossom Lantern was sold on February 25, while the Hinaningyo is available on February 26. This means the Blossom Lantern will be available again on February 27, while the Hinaningyo will be for sale on February 28, and so on. These items will alternate each day until March 3, when they’ll no longer be available.

Here’s how to get the Hinaningyo in Animal Crossing: New Horizons!

Enter the Resident Services building and interact with the Nook Stop terminal in the corner.

Choose “Nook Shopping.” (Keep in mind, if you’ve unlocked the Nook Shopping app on your NookPhone, you can access the Nook Shopping catalog from anywhere, without being required to go into the Resident Services building.)

If you want to purchase the Hinaningyo for yourself, or to send to someone at a later time, choose “Place Order.” Or, if you want to instantly send the item to an in-game friend, choose “Send as Gift.” A single Hinaningyo costs 2,560 Bells.

Remember, if you purchase one of these items for yourself, you won’t receive it until the next day (it will show up in your in-game mailbox).

And that’s all there is to it!
