Thursday, November 4th, 2021 9:50 am

You can now access your home's storage from anywhere on your island!

The Version 2.0 update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons has arrived, and it adds a ton of new features and quality of life improvements to the game, such as the ability to open The Roost cafe in your Museum and upgrade your NookPhone’s camera.

Another new item added in the Version 2.0 update is the Storage Shed, which can be placed anywhere on your island and used to access your home’s storage. That is, instead of having to run home to grab an item out of your inventory when you need it, you can just travel to the nearest storage shed instead!

Check out our video guide below to see how to get storage sheds in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, or keep reading for the details!

According to Eurogamer, in order to unlock storage sheds, you need to have completely upgraded your house and then paid 500,000 Bells to upgrade its storage capacity. After that point, you should be able to access storage sheds.

To get storage sheds in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, head to the Resident Services building and interact with the Nook Stop terminal. Choose the “Redeem Nook Miles” option.

As Eurogamer reported, you have two storage shed options available. The Storage Shed furniture item costs 6,000 Nook Miles. When you purchase one, it will be delivered to your mailbox the next day. The other option is the Wooden Storage Shed DIY Recipe, which also costs 6,000 Bells.

You can purchase or create multiple Storage Sheds if you’d like to have more than one of these items around your island.
