It’s a new month in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, which means new fish and bugs are up for grabs!
The moray eel is one of the new fish available on islands in the Northern Hemisphere in August. Specifically, it will appear on islands in the Northern Hemisphere from August to October. According to AllGamers, it will show up on islands in the Southern Hemisphere from February to April. The moray eel can appear at any time of day.
The moray eel has a long, thin shadow, which stands out from the game’s many “regular” shadows. You can see the moray eel shadow in our short gameplay clip below. After seeing the shadow in our game, you’ll know exactly what to look for as you’re trying to find this critter on your own island!
A moray eel can be sold for 2,000 Bells at Nook’s Cranny, or you can earn even more if you sell it to C.J. when he visits your island. Just remember that you’ll need to donate one of these critters to Blathers at the museum if you want to complete your museum collection.
