Sea-faring fun is on the (new) horizon with this Animal Crossing shop update.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is gearing up for its next big holiday with a wave of new Marine Day items crashing into Nook’s Cranny beginning today.

Beginning now until July 22, Animal Crossing island dwellers can pick up special items from the shop centered around the annual aquatic event, from diving wetsuits to a brand new door decoration shaped like a ship’s steering wheel.

Marine Day is an annual Japanese holiday that usually takes place during the third week of July. The day, as Nintendo describes it, “celebrates the many blessings that the sea provides. It is a day to acknowledge the role of the ocean in cultural exchange, trade, and prosperity for a country surrounded on all sides by water.”

The Marine Day event in New Horizons will run parallel with a few other in-game events, including a celebration of the French holiday Le 10 Julliet on July 10 and the beginning of the 2021 Cowboy Festival starting July 15.
