The first episode is now available to watch for free.

Children’s media company GoNoodle partnered with children’s mental health movement On Our Sleeves to launch a video series for kids called The Mooderators, which focuses on “social emotional learning,” or SEL.

The Mooderators is a six-part video series that focuses on six emotions: sadness, excitement, caring, gratitude, anger, and worry.

As of this writing, the first episode is available to watch for free on GoNoodle’s website and in GoNoodle’s video applications on iOS, Apple TV, Android, Roku, and Amazon devices. It focuses on the concept of “gratitude.” Three more episodes will be released weekly in May 2022, while the final two episodes will be released during the 2022 back-to-school season.

Parents and teachers will also be able to access “detailed curriculum guides” related to The Mooderators on the On Our Sleeves website.

In a press release, Ariana Hoet, PhD, clinical director for On Our Sleeves and pediatric psychologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, commented on The Mooderators:

“Children’s mental health was a growing concern across the country before the pandemic, and the past two years has only continued to heighten concerns for many parents and teachers. It’s never been more important to normalize and encourage children to talk about their thoughts and feelings, and one way we can accomplish that is by connecting with kids in innovative, engaging, and meaningful ways. The Mooderators will help do just that through social-emotional learning in the classroom and at home to help kids better understand and process their thoughts, feelings, and emotions necessary for their healthy growth and development. We are so appreciative of GoNoodle for taking on this important subject.”

You can learn more about On Our Sleeves on the movement’s website.
